Brain Stimulation for Cognitive Impairment in Dementia

Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, frontotemporal dementia, or progressive aphasia (language difficulty)
  • Evidence of disease in your brain (positive amyloid or tau biomarkers confirmed by PET scan or spinal fluid test)
  • Age 45–85 years and right-handed
  • Stable on current Alzheimer's medications for at least 12 weeks
  • Have a reliable caregiver who can support your participation
  • No metal implants (pacemakers, deep brain stimulators) or skull abnormalities that would prevent MRI or brain stimulation
