Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had a stroke caused by a blockage in a large artery in the front part of your brain.
  • The blockage was opened with a procedure called mechanical thrombectomy, and it was successful.
  • You were able to get treatment within 24 hours of your stroke symptoms starting.
  • You had no major disability before this stroke, meaning you could do your usual activities.
  • You do not have severe heart, liver, kidney, or bleeding problems that would make the monitoring unsafe.
