Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have NMOSD with a positive AQP4 antibody test, and you must be having a relapse right now.
  • Your disability level due to this relapse should be not too severe to still be able to participate (EDSS of 8.5 or less).
  • You must be planning to receive or already receiving standard acute relapse treatments like high-dose steroids, IVIG, or plasma exchange.
  • You must be on or starting the study drug satralizumab.
  • You cannot have used other biologic treatments for NMOSD in the past 6 months, and you must not have certain infections or conditions that would make satralizumab unsafe.
