Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with NMOSD and tested positive for the AQP4 antibody.
  • Your current attack started within the last 30 days.
  • If your attack affects your vision, your vision in the affected eye is 20/200 or worse, and before this attack it was 20/60 or better.
  • If your attack affects your spinal cord (transverse myelitis), your disability score (EDSS) is 5.5 or higher, and before this attack it was 3.5 or lower.
  • You do not have active infections, severe bleeding problems, or allergies to plasma or IVIG.
