Who can take part

  • You are in the hospital for acute heart failure and have swelling from extra fluid.
  • You are already taking furosemide and an SGLT2 inhibitor (like empagliflozin or dapagliflozin).
  • Your doctor says you still have leftover fluid that needs another water pill (diuretic).
  • Your systolic blood pressure must be 90 or higher (not too low).
  • Your kidney function (GFR) must be 20 or above, and you are not on dialysis.
