Who can take part
- You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
- You must have a type of lung cancer called non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer with an EGFR mutation (either exon 19 deletion or L858R).
- Your cancer must have spread to your brain, and you should have at least one brain spot that is 5 mm or larger, but symptoms must be controlled or easily managed.
- You cannot have had any prior chemotherapy or targeted therapy for advanced lung cancer (if you had treatment for early-stage cancer, it must have been more than 6 months ago).
- Your major organs (heart, kidneys, liver, blood cells) must work well enough based on blood tests and heart scans.
- You must not have had whole-brain radiation therapy before.
