Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 65 years old.
  • Your organs (like heart, lungs, liver, kidneys) must be working well enough.
  • You must have one of these autoimmune diseases that's active and hasn't responded to standard treatments: lupus, scleroderma, inflammatory myositis, vasculitis, Sjögren's syndrome, antiphospholipid syndrome, or immune thrombocytopenia.
  • If you have lupus, you need a certain level of disease activity and have tried standard therapy for at least 6 months with no success.
  • If you have scleroderma, your lung function must be adequate, and your disease must have come back or not responded to treatment.
  • You cannot have had certain other treatments recently, like B-cell-depleting therapies, high-dose steroids, or other experimental drugs.
  • You cannot have other serious medical conditions such as active cancer, severe infections, or heart problems.
