Who can take part
- Your cancer must have a BRAF V600 mutation (a specific gene change) found by a genetic test.
- You must be at least 1 year old and weigh at least 8 kg (about 18 pounds).
- If you can become pregnant, you need a negative pregnancy test before starting and must use a non-hormonal birth control method (like an IUD or abstinence) during and for 16 weeks after treatment.
- If you are a man with a partner who could become pregnant, you must use a condom with spermicide or practice abstinence during and for 16 weeks after treatment.
- You must be willing to have a new tumor biopsy (small sample) and give blood samples for research.
- You cannot have certain common cancers that already have approved treatments (like adult colorectal cancer, melanoma, lung cancer, or certain brain tumors in children).
