Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of acute heart failure.
  • You must be in the ICU and have active delirium (confusion) that is not due to a primary brain issue.
  • You must not have severe liver or kidney disease.
  • You must not have taken antipsychotics, benzodiazepines, or other sedatives in the last 48 hours.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
