Comparing watchful care vs. active treatment for gallbladder infection after stent placement
This trial looks at whether it is safe to delay treatment for a gallbladder infection in patients who have already had a special stent placed to drain the gallbladder. Patients who are too sick for surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either antibiotics with monitoring or immediate gallbladder removal.
