This Phase 2 trial tests whether adding an anti–PD-1 immunotherapy (retifanlimab) and chemotherapy (capecitabine plus oxaliplatin, with leucovorin) works better for people with metastatic or inoperable stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer that has defective mismatch repair (dMMR). If you’re eligible, it may help shrink tumors and slow the disease without needing prior chemotherapy for metastatic cancer.
