The Mechanism Versus PPI Trial for throat reflux
This study tests how well omeprazole (a common acid-blocking medicine) works for people with laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), a condition where stomach acid irritates the throat. If you have had throat symptoms for more than 8 weeks and are already scheduled for an endoscopy with acid monitoring, you may qualify to see if this medicine helps more than a placebo.
